At SPIEGLTEC, we stand for responsibility, transparency and sustainable business practices. Through global initiatives and continuous improvement, we create a positive impact on the environment and society.
We are further developing our sustainability strategy in line with the highest international standards and the expectations of our partners and stakeholders.
In 2025, we plan to officially become part of the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi).An important goal is to actively contribute to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and contribute to the 1.5 degree target of the Paris Climate Agreement.
The responsibility for reducing emissions thus affects the entire value chain. We take into account sustainability issues when selecting suppliers and products. Among other things, we are guided by the principles of the Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Initiative (PSCI), which establishes and promotes responsible value chain management.
To make our progress and potential even more transparent, we use the comprehensive assessment tools by EcoVadis. This platform offers us the opportunity to systematically work on our sustainability performance in the areas of the environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. Our focus on these areas enables us to use clear analyses and benchmarking tools to implement targeted measures that go far beyond the minimum requirements.
Recent milestones include:
- Effective emissions management: introduction of CO₂ monitoring to optimize our energy footprint.
- Sustainable supply chain strategies: development of clear supply criteria to increase transparency and environmental awareness along the value chain.
Promoting social responsibility: initiatives to support employee wellbeing and diversity. “Working with sustainability standards provides a structured way of communicating our sustainability performance and taking responsibility,” explains Martin Seebacher from the SPIEGLTEC management team. “This approach not only allows us to make our progress measurable but also to take targeted measures that make a real difference.”
