Ethical principles

Anti-discrimination, diversity and equal treatment

Purpose

This policy aims to create a prejudice-free working environment for all employees that is free from discrimination, harassment and disadvantage in any form. It reaffirms the principle of promoting diversity and equality. All employees bear responsibility for legally and ethically impeccable behavior and actions.

The policy is in line with our company values such as respect, trust, openness and responsibility, and forms part of our mission statement:

Scope of application

This policy applies to all internal and external employees.

Responsibilities

  • Employees: Promote a respectful and inclusive work environment and comply with this policy.
  • Supervisors: Act as role models and ensure the implementation of this policy in their teams.

Review of the policy

This policy will be reviewed regularly and updated as necessary to meet current legal requirements and the needs of the organization.

Definitions

  1. Discrimination: any unjustified disadvantage suffered by a person on the basis of gender, ethnic origin, religion, disability, sexual orientation, age group, pregnancy or other protected characteristics.
  2. Harassment: Unwelcome, offensive or harassing behavior intended to discriminate and create a hostile or intimidating work environment.

Principles

  1. Equal opportunity: All persons within the scope of application have the right to equal treatment and equal opportunity in all areas of employment, including the application process, recruitment, training, promotion and resignation.
  2. Zero-tolerance attitude: Discrimination and harassment of any kind will not be tolerated. Violations of this policy may result in disciplinary action as determined by management and the Human Resources Department.
  3. Reporting misconduct: Employees who experience or observe discrimination or harassment are encouraged to either report it immediately to Human Resources or use the reporting form or the report box at Niederfeldweg 9a 6230 Brixlegg, Austria. All reports will be taken seriously and investigated appropriately.
  4. Protection from retaliation: Employees who report incidents in good faith are protected from retaliation. Intimidation, unjustified criticism or other actions will not be tolerated and may result in disciplinary action.
  5. Training and awareness raising: The company conducts regular training to raise awareness of ethical standards and to make the effects of discrimination visible.
  6. Cultural sensitivity: Employees are encouraged to respect cultural differences and take them into account in their actions and decisions.
  7. Language of inclusion: inclusive and appreciative language must be used in internal and external communication.
  8. Open communication and constructive feedback: The company promotes an atmosphere of trust in which the exchange of ideas and opinions as well as active listening and specific, prompt feedback contribute to the continuous improvement of the company culture.

Implementation

  • Reporting: Results are reported to the management in anonymized form and measures are published depending on the incident.
  • Documentation: All cases and measures are documented and stored centrally.
